MISSION:
“To provide fitness events that include all ages, abilities, and experience in a low-cost, welcoming environment and to promote positive, life-affirming choices and activities.”
The Platte River Fitness Series (PRFS) is a fitness initiative representing several public/private partnerships between the North Platte Recreation Department and a variety of local businesses, civic organizations and communities. It was created to support, motivate and educate citizens about the benefits of a healthy, active lifestyle. We believe in the holistic benefit to individuals who use our fitness events as motivation to exercise, eat well, and embrace challenge. We aim to encourage strong bodies and bold spirits. Through the work of this initiative, we envision communities of people who are engaged, energized and responsible for their own well-being. The Platte River Fitness Series is dedicated to creating a culture of physical activity and healthy recreation, and to supporting strong, positive communities as the best places to work and live.
“Better communities through strong bodies and bold spirits.”
