New features for fall

In response to popular demand, we’ve added a new feature to the Platte River Fitness Series' website, and embraced a new method to help us better communicate with you.

Many folks have asked us for a way to expedite the checkout process when registering for races online. Based on that feedback, beginning today, athletes have the option to create a user account on the www.platteriverfitness.com website. Your account will securely save your payment methods, shopping carts, and online order information.

To sign up for a user account, or log in when you return to the website, please follow these steps:

Click the “MY ACCOUNT” link. You can find this link in the upper righthand corner on desktop, or in the menu list on mobile. Login links are also present in the website’s footer navigation.

When you click on the link, it will direct you to a pop-up where you can enter your account information, or click the “create account” link to create a new user account. You will need to create a new account the first time you log in.

OUR NEWSLETTER

We want to give our athletes and participants a more consistent, accessible way to receive announcements and information about upcoming races and other events in the Platte River Fitness Series. With that in mind, beginning this week, we will begin sending out the first of our monthly newsletters.

If you’ve signed up for a race and selected the option to let us include you in our e-mail list, you’ve already signed up for our newsletter. You can also sign up using the newsletter sign-up form on the front page, or when you sign up for a future race.

Newsletters will be sent out the last week of every month, for the following month’s news.

Please note that the first time you receive a newsletter from us, it may go to your spam or junk folder. This is not under our control at this time, and is caused by the protocol that many e-mail providers use to reduce junk mail. Please check your spam and junk folders, and add us to your contacts and/or “safe senders” list if you are not receiving our emails.

ADDITIONAL CHANGES

You may also notice that our website now has a cookie banner at the bottom when you visit. These banners should only appear periodically. Our website uses cookies to help create a secure, consistent user experience. Please click “accept” when you see a cookie banner, to help the website run smoothly for you.
